But surely we should imprison it?! Killing it is giving it the easy way out. I mean it should be made to suffer for this crime!!!!!!!!! Killing to feed itself? How neanderthal! What kind of animal kills and eats others?

However an Animal kept in (decent) captivity will be fed every day or in a tiger/lions case every few days - It would not need to attack humans, also the enclosure will never be big enough for the animal compared to how much room they have in the wild, the terrain will not be challenging if you live there for however many years. Animals in captivity can not get anywhere near as strong as wild ones, No way that a captive tiger could jump the moat and climb the fence, if it was born and lived free then yes.
It must have been taunted and released by someone in order to get out, they should have tranquillised it then re homed it at a wild reserve.
The elderly are everywhere they aren't becoming extinct anytime soon.
I would agree with you there, But for an animal which is kept in a zoo where it will encounter hundreds/thousands of people daily and is in close contact with keepers - even if they try not to make the tiger youst to people beaing around it it still will be effected. It must of taken a lot for the tiger to be taunted. The death was a person next to the cage, why didn't they run away when the tiger was escaping/going through the gate?
I believe they we're the ones taunting the tiger.
They have found out after an investigation that a wall in the tiger's enclosure was actually a metre shorter that it should be.
dogs get put down for biting people so, why didnt this tiger get put down last year when it bit the womans arm and this would never of happend?
My Chinese mate told me about this, so loads of people know.
Just reading that, if it attacked the zoo keeper or whoever a year ago I think it was the right choice to kill the animal.
