There is indeed a remake coming for this year or next. It will most likely be an Americanisation, and will probably be terrible. What's the point in this after films like The Condemend have been made since the original Battle Royale. It is one of the most successful films overseas to have come out of Asia, but an American remake, I believe, will not fare well.
great films, #2 is on film four at the moment, occasionally shown. starfted watching it but fell sleep as its shown late nights
ooo, im not too keen on watching an americanised version of it, i think ill stick to the first one. Gotta watch the second sometime soon.
I saw it ages ago on like BBC2 or summet. And instantly loved it. Got 1&2 on DVD now (:
and it's Japanese, so I love it.
the first one was so good - not so keen on number two too!
tbh i preferred the manga/books though :)
