Announcements

I don't think it should be announced tbh, if someone was that interested in it, they would of gone to it.

I don't really read the name changes or events threads, they don't interest me, but some people may actually want to go to the events or care about how they went.

How could have i checked when the forum is slow.

Maybe it good for saying this event was good, but at important times like srever going down, the improatant news should be posted and stayyed at the top to let everyone know, otherwise people ask questiopns

No - announcements are not for "interesting things" - announcements SHOULD be for important information that needs to be (or should be) known by the members.

For example, would you see this:

THE PRIME MINISTER
10 DOWNING STREET
OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: BBQ - GREAT SUCCESS

I would like to say that my BBQ was a great success. Congratulations to John Prescott who won four sausages, and my wife who won a burger. It was a great turn out.

Of you were actually interested in Announcements click the whole section not just the top thread

Why? The most important ones should of been on top, quick ref/access.

Specially the DDOS thread untill its sorted should of been kept ontop for several reasons.

"Danger to forum accounts"

"All passwords should be changed as there was an exploit that was... exploited earlier today. All users should change their passwords just to be on the safe side."

"FALLING FURNI - GREAT SUCCESS"

"SXCGRL93 WON A HC SOFA AND WE HAD A GREAT TURNOUT. THANKS FOR COMING."

With the current system the Falling Furni would replace the Danger to forum accounts thread. As soon as a user logs in, they see the latest announcement... There should be a Important Announcements board and a Forum/Community Announcements board.

not always, sometimes people are busy! that means that they can not attend these. As i said before, people read this with intrest. Why try and stop them?

Nope. Announcements should be read. Not all of them have to be AMAZING ANNOUNCEMENTS! Whats wrong with letting people know that the event they went to was a success?

and now time to do this :eusa_wall as i just know that the thread maker is going to make it so that a 'Habbox Events' thread is made and the announcements are made there.

i dont get it. WHY NOT IN THE ANNOUNCEMENTS. REALLY IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENTS SHOULD REDIRECT YOU TO IT!

Thats the point of the 'REDIRECTING SYSTEM!'
OR! They could bump the thread every few hours.
