Not BIMDAS OR BODMAS :p
But then again theyre still the same..

I suppose different teachers use different techniques, but they all mean the same thing anyway.

i suggest the guy just uses a calculator as was cleverly mentioned earlier :p

I was taught BIMDAS, it doesn't matter which comes first, Multiplication then Division or Vice Versa or Subtraction the Addition or Vice Versa .... Where are all these variations coming from!! Order?? How does that explain a thing? :s

Well they probably all work, I found it confusing anyway.

and the || is for the absolute value, which is a number closer to zero so the absolute value of |-3| is |3|, and the absolute value of |3| is |3|

sorry i dont get you, 3 is just as close to 0 as -3 is :s

Yes, I think it means how ever many numbers are away from 0, for example -7 would be 7 because it's 7 numbers away from 0 but so would 7 because that is also 7 numbers away. Am I close? :)
