Perfectly reasonable message. We want people to use the system, if you do use the system we thank you for it. Simple

-rep has its place its not like -rep is something not to be desired and we should discourage it altogether. So no :P

So if you want to discourage it... don't say thanks to the user who gave it! lol

But we don't want to discourage people using -rep (if they are using it correctly). Its thanks for using the system appropriately - people do give -rep for good reasons.
