So it just allows you to watch Sky on your PC instead of TV?

You can watch live tv, or you can download films and anything aslong as you have a subscription to that channel (you can't download movies if you don't have the movies package on sky :P)

Seems to be its just the same as BBC iPlayer? :P
You cant download them and put them onto an ipod or anything? You can only watch em.

You can put things from BBC iPlayer on an iPod ;).

Depends, normal films are free but ones like sky box office ones cost.
