Are koi expensive? :( I got no idea.
For small-ish I think they are about 60 pound and you will probally need a pond or a MASSIVE tank.
I really want a large silver dollar but can only find small ones. How long did it take to grow? And yes, koi are expensive:

Average koi price :(
Edit: yes you need a pond for them
I have had them since... summer holiday 2006 I think. I did have about 17 fish in my tank which has slowly gone down to half dozen or so now :P
Oh my, £80 is a bit pricey. I might get an angel fish. :)
When your fish die, do you flush them down the toilet? I never do that, I always bury them even if they're tiny because I don't like the idea of them going into the drains lol and yea.. kinda wierd people might think but I think its nice :)
And I need to find a large silver dollar fish argh any ideas?
Also you can get small angelfish for like a fiver each :)
£5 is more my price region. :P
I think the only way you will find one is if you go to a specialist who has bred them and keeps them to sell as larger fish but I doubt you will find any. If you have brought two new fish you may aswell buy a silver dollar or a couple and let them grow up at the same time :P
And na I flush them, we had a gold fish last year that wouldnt flush, had to get a couple of buckets to dump on it LOL It was the biggest fish we have had to date.
Lol Wayne, maybe get a couple of gold fish and a cold water tank. You could probally get all set up for about 50 quid without ornaments though.
Good idea :D When all my fish die I want to get about 20 neon tetra's and a couple of silver dollars and go for a bright colour theme in the tank. At the moment it looks pretty natural.
I have like a chineese style rock/plant in the middle of my tank and my fish manage to knock it over, we are for ever having to put it back up.
