I think Downing is a great player. About time he left and go to a club that has potential
oh well, he was a good player and local one too. however - his new club fans wiill soon notice he can be a very lazy player lol.
I think city are taking Chelsea's initial route when they got big bucks by buying English players such as Lampard, Cole, Bridge, Parker etc.
Downing is such an over rated player round here just because he's local. He continously blows hot and cold and doesn't track back as much as he should. I've never really rated him, so whoever buys him is welcome to him. We have a much better replacement in Adam Johnson who is not only skillful and can actually cross a ball - he has pace too.
Basically, do one Downing.
