Give the light grey a go, if it doesnt work, ditch it ;).

It's too compacted and tight for my liking to be honest. I like the colours you have used but I think if you tried a new navigation and got rid of the speech bubble corner image you won't be far off a decent layout :)

Well the point of the nav is not many fansites have it. I want to aim at something a little unique - Not an everyday basic layout ;)
I'm probs ditching the speech bubble as no one likes it :P

Yeah I sorta got that speech bubble kind of idea from them.

However, I think the navigation links are too close to eachother?
