Mac OS X is definitely a great operating system.

Excuse me? Most of the users in this Tech section have never taken a PC to PC World to be "fixed" seeing as any computer user with half a brain would Google a virus/problem and see how to remove it themselves.

All your going to get here is a load of Mac vs PC crap again, as I said, try both out, or even try installing Linux, which is based of UNIX (like OS X), is 99% free and works on any computer out there.

P.S. I like the way all the Mac users come flooding in first.

I agree with this, and as Barmi said, the last quote is not true, maybe there are more mac users active right now on the tech forum? Idk.

Most people straight away thing 'Windows Vista sucks', or 'Mac OS X sucks'. Pretty silly really.

I'll be honest, until i visited a friends house around 2 and a half years ago now, i hadn't even rated Macintosh itself, only for iPods. My friend had a Mac and he let me use it and i just found it a breath of fresh air from windows, the way there was such attention to detail, and ease.

I saved up and last August bought my iMac 24" 2.8 GHz and am still learning and loving my Mac, i really cannot wait for Leopard. Plus there is no messing about with OS's from Mac, you pay one price for the OS, not like Windows where the more you pay the more you get in terms of features!

If you want an all-rounder go for mac.

The only reason why windows is worst than mac is because it's shipped on any old computer, however MacOSX is built around the mac hardware making it a lot better. If microsoft did what apple did and shaped Windows around a specific line of it's own hardware then it could be good, admittedly they wouldn't be as rich.

Windows is only as good as the computer you run it on, but mac will always be good.

No it's not.

Also anyone who prefers one os over another is an idiot, they all do the same thing. Apart from OS X and Lunix which has 0% chance of running extreme games.

The only way is MacOSX86 but it's nothing compared to actually having a mac computer, and if you want a Mac buy a mac it's worth the money.

No it's not. It's way too overpriced, build a silent pc, stick OSx86 on it, better value for money, if you want to complete your mac "eXPerience" buy a mouse and keyboard.

Okay as i have used the eMac at work i love it but i want to try it more as there are so many OSx86 ones out there whats the best and easiest to install?

I have no idea, I used iAtkos to get mine chugging, I'd say iPC from what I can tell that's pretty good.
