£100 million... surely a museum doesn't take that much to maintain.
It does seem like a waste. I very much doubt other countries are contributing to the site. If they are, then that's well over a billion £ going towards restoring something that can't be that heavily deteriorated. I can see why people don't want to vote tories. If there's an option to vote someone new to be head of the Labour party, then maybe something will clear up. But my view on it is, they may aswell let ITV1 take the voting, it is just going to be a pointless popularity vote.
I agree with what people have said about we being in a recession and him flinging £100m on this. If we wasn't in the current situation then I wouldn't mind as much but its silly to do it now.
Gordon Brown hasn't given anything yet, and he's not giving the £100 million. The article says that Brown hasn't specified how much he's giving.
That site is completely biased, according to other articles, Brown hasn't even considered giving any of our money--just that he supports the cause.
You've twisted the whole thing.
It has been all over Teletext and also was on BBC and Sky News the other day. I haven't twisted anything, just like last year it was widely reported that Gordon Brown donated £825 million to India and £5 million to the Peoples Republic of China.
Its in his nature to be economically incompetant, thats why he sold most of our gold when it was at a 20 year low, oh and he also alerted world gold markets a week before that he was going to sell, which allowed the price to go under even more so than it was at the time.
LOl you always go on about that gold, also the other person i think torries? seems like posh snoob and probley would only look after rich people and tbh, theres not much he can do when every other country is in a recision
Well people say Gordon Brown was an economic hero when he was the opposite, its complete rubbish. As for the tories, maybe that was the case one hundred years ago, but thats just an argument that is continued to this day by the Labour Party and others to continue the socialist cause, when socialism really means the poor end up poorer.
We're trying to start it up again, didn't you hear?
Man you ***** about your government so much. =/
