Why not just get an iPhone, mp3 + phone sorted in one.
Any phone with a 3.5mm headphone jack. Nokia 5800 is supposed to be a pretty good music phone. Saves you buying a PMP too.
I know plenty of people with touch screen phones, none of them have broken.
And I absolutely do not recommend the KS360, I know 2 people that have it, both of them hate it.
Like DaveTaylor said, you could always just get an unlocked iPhone if you want to go with t-mobile. G1 is apparently good though, so it's really up to you.
I definitely recommend the iPod touch though, I have one and I love it.
Two things:
- OP – unless you mention what specifications you are interested in, or price boundary, there is no way our Dell recommendations would be useful. If you have visited at any point since Dell's launch, you would realise there are computers aimed at different areas of the market. Pick a price/spec range.
- Will everybody in this thread stop saying "omgzz it haz mp3". I could have sworn that was a file format. MP3 player ≠ MP3 file. Seriously... I hope some people grasp that before I have a pissfest.
<3 my 5800
Edit: Don't get that LG. It looks like Nokia circa 2002. If you were a 10 year-old girl, it might be appropriate. Compared to other phones mentioned in this thread, its specs are laughable and not worth considering. There is nothing wrong with touch-screen phones unless you are a total klutz. Anyway, if that was the case you would need to look for a Nokia 5210, which is literally indestructible.
Not sure about laptops as I've never owned one before.
Either:
iPod Touch & Nokia N95 8GB
or
iPhone 16gb, don't bother with mp3.
