Upgrading my RAM

You'l want to get good quality RAM and nothing slower than 800Mhz

Try and buy a good branded like; Kingston, ColdFusion, Corsair, Crucial etc.

So if i do get a high Mhz one, will it run okay in my computer or do i need to get a certain fitting?

It has been previously discovered that he only has 2 RAM slots, and can only use up to DDR1 400Mhz. The Max he can have is 2GB.

It won't work because it's DDR2 and not DDR1.

DDR1 is very expensive. There is no way around it short of buying a new motherboard.

I wonder why DDR1 is expensive for old technology? Hmm do you think it's like that because it's becoming extinct haha :P

Hm, i didn't realise this could be so confusing. Can you tell me what things i'm looking for when buying the new RAM?
Do you think I could take out one ram and just use a 2Gig one instead of 2x 1 Gig?

The materials used for DDR1 is more expensive... something like that anyway. Maybe the way it's made, too.

The main things your looking for are:

PC-3200
DDR400

and you want to make sure you get two 1GB sticks.

You might aswell just buy a new motherboard, cpu and RAM just to keep your PC up to date
