Labour Government "collapsing before our eyes".

I will love it when the government collapses and Britain is left in chaos.

The problem with Brown is that no-one wanted him, he should be voted in like everyone else, not handed a burning baton.

I suppose you could compare this, if the government does collapse, to the collapse of the Major and Thatcher governments. It is similar to the end of the Thatcher government in the sense that a European Union-related issue could bring down Gordon Brown as it did with Margaret Thatcher, that is, if UKIP fair better than Labour in the polls.

It is also similar to the Major government in the sense that the government is tired and seems powerless now, and is seems as though there is no magic knight waiting in the wings to save the government from election defeat.

It is similar to both in the sense that certain ministers are now making moves/resigning without the control of the Prime Minister. It will be interesting the next few weeks, especially with the Daily Telegraph still printing more and more expense claims day after day.
