I suggest deleting old trials/demos, content for games you don't need like maps packs etc.
If you goto your settings, goto storage, then highlighting the HDD it should give you a button for delete suggestions of something, if not click on the HDD, then it suggest content you don't use anymore, also if you have unfinished downloads that are clogging up the space.
Well i had problems with world at war so i had to borrow a mates game and save it to hard drive, now mine works fine that takes up 6.5gb so im tempted to delete that.
I hear you can change your gamertag with ms points, i might do that
