There is no legal limit although there is a minimum of 18 Degrees. There's campaigns for there to be a maximum and in the past teachers have threatened walk outs but nothing so far. However I think County Council's can create maximum temperature rules.
It's ridiculous how warm and cold some of the classrooms in my school get, all winter it was freezing in my form room and I never concentrated, now it's just shot up to far too warm and a fan blowing around hot air

I'm not sure what the maximum legal temperature in classrooms and offices is but I'm fairly sure my office well exceeds it at the moment - the windows literally open 2" because they're a crap design and our air conditioning has been broken for weeks. I've taken tonight off just because last night I was actually feeling ill because of it and it's meant to be fixed tomorrow :P

Nope, it can if its too cold, but not to hot
There is no legal warmth, well not in a workplace, it could be 110 degrees c and still you gotta work but not if it exceeds 0.c

My school was too cold once and they sent us home, so it's possible
-
most of the rooms in my school are not even air conditioned :l lol
it's so unbearable hot in some of our classrooms :@
-
I thought it was legislation to make sure a room stays room temperature otherwise people can complain or something... meh I cant remember, working conditions and all that crap.
-
just feel for the teachers. often in shirts etc, mwahah.
well i guess at school you still have to wear black trousers anyway. thank god for 6th form.
-
So releived I've left school...classrooms are horrible in the summer, a room full of thirty sweaty teenagers ewwwwwwwwww lol
-
how can you remember all the way back then nat?!
-
There are no laws to say that you can go home if the temperature gets too high.
Personally I think we should all enjoy it whilst it lasts, yes I know that it gets unbearable at school or the workplace but people moan that they want sunny hot weather and then when it happens people complain that it's too hot!! So again, enjoy (as best you can) whilst it lasts!! :D
Ice-cream anyone?
