Well, it was a if I do it again i'll get refered to a super moderator.
The super moderator would then look at all the occasions you had bumped a thread, and if each one was justified they would just remind you of the rule yet again.
The rule is in place for a reason, in my opinion that thread did not need anything adding to it, hence why it had laid dormant for over a month.
Ok well im sorry, the thread was basically right at the top of the topic I didn't think to look at the date? I just replied.
There you go then, nothing will come of it, I was only doing what the moderator guide says, think yourself lucky, a year or two ago it would habe been an immediate infraction:P
I liked the idea someone mentioned of setting the forum to show threads from the past 2 weeks.
Can't have been when I was a (super) moderator then, which was Sep 07 'till Feb 08. Was probably more likely to get something like that when they first started using the infractions system; when infractions didn't expire and a perm ban was about 4 or something.
You got a pm reminder as you bumped a thread which was in the region of two months old when the limit is 14 days. You say youself it was inactive.:S
You may find it useful to check the date of the last post next time. You may have been contributing to the thread but that is a different rule altogether. Knowingly replying to a 'dead' topic after the time limit is against the rules so the moderator correctly sent you the pm and it wasn't for nothing. Thanks. :)
I see what you're saying, if forums are that inactive we should probably be doing something about it :P We'll probably merge that forum with the parent forum so that its a little more active.
