Would suspect its real, the slight blurryness/discolouration on what you see through it is just the texture of the transparent membrain :)
May be wrong, but there are far weirder animals out there

Maybe it is real?
They are real, it just has a very thin membrane, therefore you can see through it. Its not photoshopped at all. They're just rare to find.
... Anyone ever thought that this butterfly actually exists? It's called a Greta Oto or The Glasswing butterfly from the Brust-footed butterflies family, same as the Agrias Butterfly.
Diseased? No.
Shopped? No.
Awesome? Hardly - it has transparent wings for the same purpose as many other animals - birds of prey, stick insects and typically loads of female animals and creatures - to blend in with its environment.
Seriously, does no-one play Animal Crossing here to learn about these sorts of things? :P I am shocked at how little some people know about the odd animals out there, and this isn't one of them :S I find the Coconut Crab to be somewhat bizarre and something you wouldn't expect to be real, or that spider (or scorpion?) in Iraq called the Camel Spider which is one freaky creature :S
EDIT: Also, the background behind it is out of focus, which will explain why it does look shopped.
