The glans is just sensitive an all, it would be weird if it didnt hurt when you poked at it.

Also for those on about other sizes, 5 is the "real" average - that's as measured by the testers, the 6" theory comes from a test where people just told the researchers how big they were (and how truthful are people gonna be lol).
