i highly doubt that. you don't seem to understand that britain became de-industrialised during the 60's to the 80's as a direct result of foreign competition. goods were cheaper due to foreign workers being paid less, enabling people to get more products for their money. foreign workers were exploited, and companies were left with more profit, thus the expansion of companies into the asian area. in the 60's, manufacturing accounted for 30% of london's wealth, by 1990 it had been reduced to 11%.Quote:
