My friend got an email from GAME the other day saying that if it is delayed it's due to Postal Strike. I did not order online due to that fact. I've ordered off GAME about 10 times and they used Royal Mail.
Just found this

Shopto.net and game.co.uk have contingency plans in place, however they cost extra, if you are a reward customer with game and have an existing preorder if or when postal strikes again they will bump your order up to special courier so you will get it on release (free of charge), everyone thing else you have to pay extra.
Gameplay.co.uk are doing it for everyone who orders before 8th November.

Preorder Call of Duty : Modern Warfare 2 before 7pm on 08.11.09 for despatch for launch day and FREE upgrade to courier delivery!
I'm so pleased I pre ordered in store
I've asked for it for Christmas because I would rather buy LEGO Rock Band (Which I'll trade in GH5 for) and they both come out in November. So I have no pre-order worries.
Still a chance of negotiations and play are still delivering
I'll be getting my either at Midnight Launch or dad's collecting my in-store pre-order while Im @ school.
Erm.. do Play.com use Royal Mail?
On their notice: "Play.com uses many mail carriers and we are working closely with them throughout the strike action to minimise any impact to our costumers..."
So ye.
Also remember strikes are not every day too.
Strikes on Friday 6th and Monday 9th November, still could be given on time because I'm not sure if each bit are protesting at the same time.
