I think Spiderman is the most decent superhero thing going here, its a shame to here this. I heard the villain was going to be his Professor, the Lizard guy, like I remember on the cartoon series, so its a shame it really is.
The reboot wont be successful at all. With a whole new cast and crew, people will just be annoyed or dissapointed or both. Shame really.
The lizard guy and the rhino are the only other villains I can remember (I remember lizard from the cartoon and rhino from the game lol). Oh and the fish bowl head thing.
Why not give him an extension if time is the problem as the reboot will delay it further :S
He obviously has other projects in development that would prevent him from working any longer on the film.
I hope this means he'll finally get The Evil Dead 4 made.

It will fail with a new cast after the first three films were so successful.
Spiderman was the best comic to film conversion and it's going to be ruined...

I dont understand why they thought this would be a good idea, who wants to see the story begin all over again? :s
I simply can't be bothered to watch the story reset at zero. I don't care to see another interpretation of the comic books. Tobey McGuire was a great Peter Parker, and you just know some second-rate actor like Taylor Lautner is probably going to be given the new role.
Especially if it does come out in 2012, it will only be 10 years after the first one came out? I dont see the point
