A few examples of PM's sent to new members, ive removed the private details of course.
These are real PMs that have been sent to members within 2 weeks of them registering.
They all included the members name. I don't think there's much more we can say.

[Here would be the post]
In this post, you are making a sarcastic comment towards the other forum member suggesting they're a loser.
Althought your comment was only mildy rude, it is still against the forum rules to be rude towards other forum members.
If you continue to break this rule further action will be taken which could result in a warning or infraction.
Thanks,

Hi [insert name here],
I'm writing to you about the following post:
*REMOVED*
Here you "bumped" an old thread.
The last post in that thread was 2-3 years ago, and therefore you shouln't really post in it, as this is breaking a forum rule.
This is just a PM reminder, but please be careful not to bump old threads in the future. If they seem old, feel free to make a new thread about the topic.
Cheers,

Hello [INSERT MEMBER NAME HERE],
I am writing to you to remind you of the following rule:
Quote:
A11. Do not post pointlessly – A pointless post has no relevance to the topic, any previous post or is meaningless (ghnrgher etc). A pointless thread either has no meaning, is something posted that is not true (e.g. false story in news and rumours) or a thread that doesn't prompt a discussion (eg. post the colour of socks you're wearing).
Your post here did not make a valid contribution to the thread and is therefore considered pointless. Please bear this in mind in the future, or further action may be taken against you.
Thanks,

Hey [USER],
Here your post breaks the forum rule of avoiding the filter. Editing the word so that it is not completely filtered is classed as avoiding the filter.
As this is your first offence you will only recieve this PM. If you continue to break this rule then further action will be taken which could result in a warning or an infraction.
Thanks,
