Ah yeah, 5% hardware (95% software) he says.
If he has been doing this for so long and they know so much about him.. why isn't it an illegal offence for him to hack these things?
Why hasn't he had charges pressed against him by Apple / Sony.. or don't they care.. or is there no law?
Because its not actually against the law. (In the PS3 case anyway), because he hasn't actually yet ran any illegal software on it/played any pirated game on it (I think I'm rite their).
Which is why he states that ''he does not intend to be involved in the pirating of game'' etc.
Hmm, but it's not really hacking into their property though, he is doing it to his own property at his own risk, and then posting on how to do it, and then the users do it themselves to their own property. It's like me robbing my own shop, then posting a tutorial for other people on how to rob their own shop.. They are doing it to themselves, not anyone else. Sorry, that was a really bad example, but that is kind of how I see it.
Seems fair enough to me, thanks guys :)
Tbh I've only had my PS3 a month but I'm still in awe of how versatile it is, I can't really think of anything I'd want to put on there except maybe megadrive emulation cos I'm a megadrive fanboy. What sort of things are they aiming to do with it?
Haha that kid is a legend.
