What willl you teach your children?

Most things are pretty self-explanatory but I think the religion question is a good one here. Since I turned away from religion I've often wondered about this. I think I would try my best to keep their options open when it comes to religion. I'd probably use biblical references as part of teaching (it's hard to avoid with most basic principles anyway) but I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be taking them to mass every week, (although if my mum is still around she might do that I guess).

It's a tough one though because you can't really teach it to a child simply as an option, and I'd feel like I was lying if I tried to teach them it as fact. Maybe I'm only thinking all of this because I was taught it so I feel obliged. Meh, I dunno.

I'd teach them to follow their heart, not what they "should" do, make them play an instrument but make it enjoyable. I'd encourage them to do decently at school but not push them very much. I'd make sure they did their homework though fgs, if I had been made to do my homework when I was younger work would be a hell of a lot easier now. Most of all I'd encourage creativity and free thinking, hopefully in a way that'll make them billionaires so they can buy me a mansion in Florida.

Oh and one thing I'd definitely do is get them into football as early as possible. Seriously, if you've got the talent it's probably one of the best career paths in the country and if not, it's still a good asset to have at school if you're half decent at it. I never really got into footy until I went to school and then I didn't know much about it until pretty much the end of primary so I'm crap at it now :P.

I'd tell them not to have kids, because they're expenisve.

Get them into football early and onto a team.
Also teach them guitar, keyboard, drums etc.

Try to filter their internet access a lot more than my parents limited mine, because if I were to be completely honest I think the internet, and social interactions through the internet, have changed me in more negative ways than positive.
