I think a lot of it stems from the fact you like her.

I do however believe you should have maybe also taken the issue up with the Alex guy

Both, you were right and wrong by getting involved, but right for telling her what you thought, and as well, she seems like a total ****.

Telling her how he felt, thats nothing to do with getting involved really, he just said what he thought...
