you gotta register. i'm registered. www.aboutmyvote.co.uk
Ahh right thoguht so. I was on that site earlier, i'll register now.
Well we now enter the most boring election in history, the points i'll be watching out for and wishing luck in will be Farage in Buckingham and Griffin in Barking. The Conservatives stand little chance, they need in some seats a 6% swing to capture key marginals which is more than Mrs Thatcher got in 1979 so I can see little chance of the Conservatives forming the next government and I hope we come out of this with a weak Lib/Lab coalition. Either way when we all wake up on May 6th we will have no change because the next government will consist of the three main parties.
As for the leaders debates and the debate between Darling, Osborne and Cable - I mean come on, its got to of been the most boring show ever televised. You cannot put a cigarette paper between the three of them; does anybody know any real differences between the main parties because I certainly cannot find any. So if you are voting, vote anybody except the three main parties and even if you dont agree with the likes of UKIP, BNP, Green Party then still vote but spoil your vote.
A vote for the main parties is a vote for the same old (corrupt) mugs.
go labour
Griffin? The man who condoned "Maiming and blowing things up"?
Sorry when were the Liberal Democrats last in power? Oh wait they never have been. Only the Liberals have been around a century ago. The Liberal Democrats offer the biggest shake up of the political system since Women got the vote, if theres one thing that you can guarantee, its change.
Hang on!? You are saying Cable and Osborne are the same!?? Oh my lord.
Why? Because you don't agree with them? Thats naive and idiotic. The three many parties do support the vast majority of the population despite what you say, the reason they have become so watered down is because the public only vote for them if they are like that, thats what the public want. I totally support peoples right to vote for UKIP, BNP and the Green Party however I equally support their right to vote for Labour, Conservative and the Liberal Democrats which you clearly do not. Just because you support UKIP it doesn't mean the majority of the population do.
A minority of MPs are corrupt yet they are all branded with this image. As I pointed out in the last thread UKIP's Farage has claimed £2 Million on expenses in EU parliament, which is several times that of any "real" MP. I know you are going to say he didn't benefit personally...well...yes he did. A significant proportion of that went to support UKIP's election campaign which was designed to get Farage elected and therefore have a high earning Job. Additionally he employs his own wife under expenses, UKIP is more corrupt that the rest of them and it has VERY few elected representatives.
I've printed off the registration thing and i'll send it off later. I'll be voting Lib Dems.
Yes Griffin, because I know you as a Liberal Democrat may not like it, but the fact is that Griffin stands for death penalty, EU withdrawal, low taxes and tougher punishments for criminals. I was watching your leader Nick Clegg say how we need rehabilitation for criminals by 'talking to them' - I mean what planet is your party, yourself and your leader on?Quote:

They wouldnt commit crimes if they were locked up now would they.
What change is this?Quote:

- Continue with the European Union.
- Raise taxes which drive away business.
- Keep spending out of our means.
While I admit I do agree with some points such as the proportional representation system being introduced, the rest of your policies (such as scrapping Trident) are totally and utterly comical. Yet again, you [the left] ignores history at your peril and the peril of the nation. Little do you understand that Trident is at the heart of defence policy and will become more important as the rise of Asia takes place.
Yes I am and do you know why?Quote:

We spend more on paying the debt interest than we do on the military/education - we face debts of over £1 TRILLION and not one of the prospective Chancellors have a solution to this. You are all utterly in denial about the scale of the problems facing us and offer next to nothing thats different to eachother. I see nothing new coming from the Liberal Democrats, other than the policy to not tax those on lower income (which incidently is a UKIP policy) and that goes far from sorting our the economical issues we face. There is nothing radical about any of you [the main parties].
Can you address then, despite the main parties supporting more EU and being against the death penalty why the polls show that the parties are the complete opposite to public opinion? - its not naive and idiotic, your party is socialism with a smile and would take us back to the 1970s, add this to the fact that; you want to waste billions tackling non-existent climate change and making promises you cannot afford. I know UKIP is supported in most points by public opinion because i've looked at the polls mate, the Liberal Democrats on the other hand have little in common with the people of England and are used as a protest vote. Let us take Liverpool for example, the Liberal Democrats get a strong hold here only because we try our best to keep Labour out which destroyed this city.Quote:

Nigel Farage did not benefit from his expenses which are actually called allowances unlike Nick Clegg who cheated the expenses system. They are used to run the regional office which every single MEP has and needs to run as it is part of the job. As for employing your wife to help with the job, what is wrong with that? - aslong as the wife does the work which i'm sure she does as their is no evidence to suggest otherwise then i'm perfectly fine with that and I dont see your problem with it. Infact lets clear this up once and for all here;Quote:

It is a totally different system and Farage has published his expenses online. Let us compare this to Nick Clegg who has clamied the maximum amount under the second home allowance. Mr Clegg claimed for food;- everyone has to eat, so why is Nick Clegg or any other Westminister MP any different?. The difference between these two is that Farage did not break any rules and did not benefit from his expenses, Mr Clegg did.
You are [the party] totally corrupt, and until you find some solid evidence that Mr Farage did use some of those allowances to buy himself a new car, a new house, food and so on then Clegg is in the wrong, Farage is not. As for representation, in the fair proportional representation election last year in 2009 UKIP earned itself 13 seats coming second in the polls, the Liberal Democrats meanwhile came fourth and polled 11 seats. The results can now be seen below. To add finally, you cannot say FPTP is fair because your own party is against the FPTP system anyway and like UKIP, is in favour of the fair PR system.
27.7% Conservative & Unionist Party
16.5% United Kingdom Independence Party
15.7% Labour Party
13.7% Liberal Democrats
8.6% Green Party of England & Wales
6.2% British National Party
There the results are, in a fair proportional representation system which your party also admits is the fairest system and wants it to be implemented in the Westminister system as well. UKIP beat the Liberal Democrats and recieved more votes to do so, so we are pretty well represented thank you very much.
