Fork right knife left... It easier
imo
I always have my knife in my left hand and my fork in the right.
It's so annoying sitting next to someone who does the opposite :(
I eat with the knife in my left hand and the fork in my right hand. Everyone else I know holds them the other way.
Fork left, knife right and seeing people eat it the other way makes me feel uncomfortable... no offence :|
I was also brought up that using my fork in my left and knife in the right is the correct way, I also got moaned at if I sett'd the table wrong when I was younger so I know now which side is which and the other way is just awkwarrrrddddddd, because when I see other people doing it the other way they kinda use the fork as a nail to nail their food to the plate and then put the knife in and tear away from it +o(
i use my fork in my left hand and my knife in the right, but it's probably just because i'm left handed and find it hard the other way. but then again, my mum always told me that fork in left and knife in right is the 'proper' way. it bothers me though if somebody sets the table and puts it the other way around :P
Oh thank god I aren't alone.
People saying that the other way (fork in left, knife in right) is the proper way are correct but I literally can't hold them that way round. It's comparable to trying to make me write with my left hand, it just doesn't work. It's a bit awkward in posh restaurants and things when you have to swap them around though :(
*Removed*
i have my fork in my right hand and knife in the left, but when im cutting stuff up i switch them over
I hold the fork in the left and knife in the right, if I swap them in public I'll look like a **** imo.
I eat in some very exclusive venues :D
fork left - knife right although i only do that in restaurants. why on earth would you do it at home lol
I eat with my fork on my right hand then when I need to do some chopping I put my knife in my right hand and change bk weird ino
