The Lib Dems are the ones dragging down the Conservatives, I'm not saying the blame should all be put on them, but they're equally or more blameable, Lib Dems admitted themselves they're holding back the Conservatives on some cuts and are behind some of the rises.Quote:

Seriously I'm sure they could cut loads of cash quite simply but theyre too scared too because people will argue. For example cut benefits from those who don't need it, like my parents don't need child benefits. That could save a bit if it applied to all types of benefits.

It has been Labour telling lies that has been the cause of the problem, they've now found that Brown and Darling moved financial debts/hid them so it was excluded from the debt total in which it appeared as though our debt was around the £800 billion mark when infact its been found to be over £2 trillion. It has also been uncovered that civil servants complained (very rare for that to occur) about massive spends on wasteful projects which Lord Mandelson (former Business secretary) commissioned in the final months leading to the end of Labour government.Quote:

Rosie senior civil servants have been the ones who have come out and said this, Labour even left a note on the desk saying all the money had gone - I do not see what more evidence you need to see how economically incompetant they are, were and always have been. Infact to add to this, Labour even said that government spending (money it didnt have) it the way to get out of debt - they, you and I know fully well that you cannot spend your way out of debt with money that you have not got.Quote:

A rise in VAT is inevitable and to be truthfully honest we have one of the lowest VAT rates in europe as in most other european countrys its at 20% or above. Whilst it may seem unfair, it will affcect EVERYONE regardless of income and is therefore a fair form of tax (as the libdems would say), however im no lib dem and therefore see tax rises as a ridiculous way to control our budget defecit. We have a VERY LARGE public sector and jobs NEED to be cut. You may think this is unfair but these civil servants are NOT making any money for the country and are a drain on resources. therefore a solution to this would be to TRANSFER these jobs to the PRIVATE sector which will mean that very few people will lose their job and that they start contributing to the economy.Quote:
