haha just imagine how many students got distracted by Google Pacman today, I bet schools had to block it on their servers haha.

I wish I was joking here but Google is actually blocked at my school. Everyone was using iGoogle to play games and IM etc (I think this craze might of been started by me, along with proxys, listening to music on last FM, changing everyones contrast to high, tampering with networked printers and hacking the BIOS to add USB Support. I'm seriously too cool), so the IT technicians blocked all of Google. The silly thing is, everyones homepage is Google and this cannot be changed so we all load up the internet to the lovely "blocked" page.

Well that is just plain stupid. They should just limit on what you can access not the whole of "Google", what failures. :P

That is just low :O so glad I'm not at your school - one too many times openeing the interenet and id get so annoyed. Why don't they change the homepage....

And if they could work a simple program like Dansguardian or even simpler, MS ISA Server, they could block everything to do with Google but the search function 8-)

I think they'd have to do it manually on each individual computer which is too much work for them.

I seriously don't know what they were thinking, apparently you can go to the IT Technicians in your own time and they'll set it to something of your choice. I don't see why I should waste my time going to them though, as soon as you walk in you see them hiding the biscuits and you have to sit with them for 10-15 mins while they do the most basic of tasks for you, it's quite awkward.

I've been in the IT teachers' office over the last few weeks cramming all my coursework and its so funny how little they do :P I bet the technicians do even less considering half the keyboards in the school have keys that don't work (not through vandalism or anything, just really cheap keyboards) and they don't seem to care
