I find it easier to type on a laptop, and you can take it out into the garden and it's all nice and jolly. But for the heavy duty tasks you need a desktop just for grunt more than anything, that and gaming on a laptop is terrible!
So desktop for Photoshopping, gaming, downloading, general day to day
laptop for coding, document writing and late night browsing in bed (take from that what you will)

i like my laptop because i can lie on my bed and use it. only reason its better
i want a desktop too but its pointless having 2

They both have their advantages so both :)

They are both as good as each other really depending on what you are doing. If I am in my room then my desktop is much better for obvious reasons but if I am downstairs or on a train then it's the laptop. They aren't really designed to compete with each over so it's hard to say which is better. If it's just going to be left stationary somewhere then why would you want a laptop? :P
