Could you live without a pet?

I dread the day when my dog dies, she is part of our family and it'd be sad to see her go.
I love animals (:

Yeah, I used to really like pets now I finally see how much effort they are.

they are a lot of effort, but it's worth it.
Dogs for instance;
when they're puppies their messy, disobedient and distructive, if you put in a lot of hardwork and effort they can turn into really calm loving animals.

no, my dog is a legend and makes this family happy tbh.
