Not sure why people are saying 4gb for serious gaming lmao
But I do think you should get a light up keyboard - you won't regret it :)

Get the backlit keyboard, they're much more useful than you would ever think.
A light up keyboard seems a bit of a waste. You have something called a screen which does the duty of a light for you, unless you have really bad eye sight? :P
3GB is fine, but 4GB if you want just to make it a bit future-proof :)
Don't need to, I can obviously see my laptop keyboard without one :P It really depends if you hope to use a laptop in complete darkness quite often. It's one of those things you can live without seeing as you have a perfectly good lightswitch that provides light all year round.
I would stick with 3GB as that is fine for what you do, also the screen usually lights up the keyboard for me lol but I suppose it would make it look nice. How much does it all come to and will you be building it yourself?
Well I thought I'd picked what I wanted then I found another one.
Dell Studio 15,
500GB 7200rpm
4GB
i3 processor
Standard WLED screen
1gb ati mobility radeon graphics (5470 or something)
Standard keyboard
Black chainlink design
£530 after discounts and stuff. It was either this, or,
500gb 5400rpm
3gb
Design studio design on the cover
For £50 more. Wasn't worth it just for a design imo
3GB RAM is plenty as it is, I use 2GB on my lappy and I manage to play Modern Warfare 2 and other games fine.
