Obviously I can't say much about the after-math as I've never had the HPV... but if you're worried about the needle it's absolutely nothing.
I remember a couple of years ago I had my tetanus, diptheria and polio booster and I was really scared from like.. the day I got the letter. Seriously, the needle is painless and you can't really feel it.. :)
Afterwards however.. I have no idea - but does it really matter? The vaccine is already in there so there's nothing you can do about it :P

my friends basically just said that they were really nervous to begin with, and they thought it was gonna be awful etcetc.... but it actually wasnt.
Only one said her arm hurt badly the next day, so im sure youll be fine shaz, youre like a rock ;)

It was fine..however..withdrawing blood from my arm was a different story..I told the doctor to hurry the **** up cos he was taking ages..:( I did have like 8 tubes of blood taken our of me tho

I had mine last year, it goes in 'pinch pinch' and then out, so its just a couple seconds of a tiny pain like a pinch! Just KEEP MOVING YOUR ARM! it may be a bit hard, and you will want to keep it still but if you keep moving your arm you don't get the second day dead arm as much!

my first one, i got 3 different ones all at once so i didn't even know which it was ;P one of them hurt reallyyy bad but yeh. the last two did hurt me but i lived. i got them at age 11 and i'm so glad i just got them out of the way. i did feel them going in and injecting the stuff and whatnot but i didn't really have any muscle at all then so it was really painful going into my skinny little arm ;P it's not completely horrible.

meh its like pregnancy i guess, they big it up to be something painful but really its not ;l

Just bumping this because I have it on Wednesday :(

It goes in then out, takes about 2 seconds that doesn't hurt, then you have to sit down for like 5 minutes in case you take badly to the needle (i highly doubt it you'll be fine).
Then after that for a day or two your arm will feel a bit heavy and it may sting a little, but it's nothing to worry about BUT MAKE SURE NOBODY HITS YOU IN IT otherwise it'll sting like a bint.
