i've never known anyone to gift someone when they return from somewhere. unless it's death cos that's a reasonable one.

She'll get back and she would have been for twomonths, ive been visiting her but i wanted to get her someting as her birthdays next day

so why not say it's for her birthday, then users wouldn't think it sounds silly to gift someone if they've been away on a holiday?
