I found the best thing to do is, play S&D for a while, then go to a team death match. I notice you become more aware of your surroundings, i know i have. :) Getting like 4+ on accuracy to! so its happy days indeed! :)

Play the game. Enjoy the game. Job done.
I run around all the time, I very rarely stay in one place unless I need like one more kill for my last killstreak. Run Spy Plane as your first kill streak, getting three kills is super easy, and then if you die, you have a Spy Plane to help you and your team out. You can get high scores without having to use Chopper Gunner or Dogs
I consider myself a some what above average player. My K/D is roughly 3.5 and yeah I usually get above 30 kills every Team Deathmatch. Just keep playing, I was rubbish at Call of Duty 2 when I first bought it and improved through Call of Duty 4, WaW, MW2 etc.
Turn up the sensitivity, use the Ak74 + Grip & ghost, with SpyPlane, once you have the 2 kill streak flank. When in flashed spray, when stunned spray, when surprised knife and spray, basicly when in dout spray.
If someone goes behide cover try and shoot through it, always gets my a few extra kills even if you think you can't shoot thorugh it (I found bullets go straight through some of the giant rocks on the jungle map :P)
Reload after a kill if the area is save, look hehide you, if you arnt using a supressor make sure if flanking or on your bill to look around before shooting people, dont draw attention to yourself.
ohhh didn't read properly, then just use UAV instead of spyplane and ACR or any recoil free nooby gun in the game, ohh wait... that nearly all of them :P
I only got mw2 in the summer and by the time Black Ops came out, I was fairly decent at it. Just keep practicing!
