The reason Kesha is number one is because she's had the most NEW scrobblers/listeners of 2010. Lady Gaga already had a fair amount, but because Kesha just exploded from nowhere, there are more unique listeners this year

i would have thought it would have been lady gaga...

yeah i was surprised as well tbh. or rihanna or something, shes had a great year

The last fm one is based on album scrobbles, Gaga's The Fame Monster wasn't counted as an album because it's a revisited version of The Fame, whereas Animal was a new debut album that came out during 2010 and received the most scrobbles out of any other album that year :P
