probly about £10 and all the apps i have brought for my phone i have like playing or messing about with so i would say i havent really wasted any money :D
I bought decent games - such as DoodleJump, Fruit Ninja, Angry Birds etcetc - then an untethered jailbreak came out. Installous.
A really good free app is FAAD (Free app a day). Not sure how they do it but they get the developers of paid apps to put them on sale for free for one day only, this app tells you which are free when :)
I've only ever bought two apps and they were both 69p.

Around £30 over two years, including in-app purchases. Got some iTunes gift cards which I redeemed on Christmas Day and not used yet :P. I got my 2nd gen iPod touch jailbroken a few weeks ago but my new one isn't.
ive probably spent about £75 on apps (ipad and ipod touch), although normally i wait until i have an itunes card before buying (so a lot of the month i spent was with itunes cards/vouchers :))
