It's called constructive critism, he gave you feedback and ways to improve it :).

Anyway, in some ways I agree with him, the shading curves I don't really understand whey they are there, surely it should be straight to fit with the rest of the image. Regardless, I think it's really good for a 2nd submitted alt, keep posting!
