Saw it on release day, never seen an xmen movie, my mate is a right nerd so I agreed to it. I really enjoyed it, what better place to start on a franchise than a prequel. Although there is one thing i dont get and this might be a spoiler but because its a prequel i dunno.
Why did raven move to the villains side after. I mean i know she was a villain in trailers for other films but it the development wasn't really good in the scene which is did. What was her reasoning? Her oldest mate was loosing his legs and she went to the other side while it happened like kicking him while he is down. Now i'm thinking about it, it might be because he hated the way she looked in her blue normal form and magnito (w.e his name is) thought she looked beauitful the way she is?
Btw i got teary eyed at the end because i thought he was going to die because i havent seen the sequels. lol :')

Simply amazing film. I'm fairly sure Xmen Origins: Wolverine 2 is confirmed aswell as Xmen Origins: Storm

She went to Magneto's side because he accepted her in her true form and ecouraged her to embrace her mutation, while Charles preferred her as a human. The development was good, throughout the whole film she was battling with herself to try and open up to her mutation and she finally found salvation and acceptance in the form of Magneto. She wasn't 'kicking Charles while he was down' as you put it, if you remember Charles actually told her to join Magneto.

It was heartbreaking when Charles lost his legs, I was dreading it the whole film. Also, I loved the Magneto slow-mo coin sequence at the end and Wolverine's cameo.
Actually, it didn't. Emma Frost is a lot older in First Class than she is in Origins and Cyclops is Havocs older brother, yet in Origins (which is set at least twenty years after First Class) he is in his teens, while Havoc is in his teens in First Class. There are a few other minor inaccuracies, too. I attended a panel by the writers of X-Men: First Class and they were asked about this and acknowledged the flaws in continuity.
Well that probably means the events of Origins didn't happen.
And I for one absolutely support that.
Same with the bits about Last Stand not really happening. The movie is so good because it deletes two horrible ones.

The writers... acknowledged... the flaws... I was there. I heard them say it. Origins is canon, it is an official X-Men film, the events of Origins did happen.

Well that's disappointing, good to know they're totally fine if Last Stand doesn't exist.
I say that, like the Star Wars prequels, Origins and Last Stand never ever happened.
Besides, at the end of the day, the film still falls into neat canon for the most part and pulls of the job of setting stuff up.
