I still don't think it would make a difference, I can only think of room building and perhaps graphic competitions. If the same people keep winning them and suddenly a new variety of comps come in, I think it would of turned people off comps completely by then.

You could probably buy the prize yourself?

Roombuilding, competitions used to be great in the day, When the prize was pretty good, not a normal 20-30c rare

I wouldn't say it's fixed, if she wants to spend lots of her money on credits for rooms then why not. If you have the right furni, you'll enter the competition right? It's always worth a try.

I might enter this comp, not too sure! :]

your pretty much spending 500c on a room to get a badge about 60 people get and a crap 10c rare

I've already been buying mine at 1c per :P. They could go down to like 4 per 3c or simething.
