Suggestions!

I'm currently running a Logitech M705 for my mouse - it's pretty reasonable.

Looking for a new keyboard myself and maybe a headset, so I'll keep an eye on this thread

Keyboard: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en...-keyboard-3000 Best one I've ever had, wired, works perfectly, couple of utility buttons for shortcuts (e.g. mute). The only other thing I'd suggest is a keyboard I saw recently which had cherry mx's on just the frequently used keys (i.e. not symbols, numbers, couple of others) I can't seem to find it though. You may be able to drop the latency by a few ms with a gaming keyboard but if you're that bothered you may as well rig up a kinect to your computer since latency between thought and the act of pressing the key all the way down is of greater significance.

I've had a lot of mice (Some very expensive) but none have been as comfortable in my hand as a generic dell xps one. Although it may be a good idea to get a slightly better mouse for gaming (I have no clue what the sensitivity on the Dell mouse is but it's probably terrible).

Edit: As for headset I'd get headphones and a mic separate, that way the boom doesn't obstruct your view and you also have some headphones which are of decent quality for sound.

I've never had the boom get in the way of my view before, But I also don't want to get a cheap arse desk mic because they sound awful. So if you have any recommendations for them, fire away!

If you're dead set on a headset then I've heard good things about the Plantronics ones (Particularly the 400 series but they're all good).

Also I realised the boom in the way of view was silly when i wrote it, I meant to say just generally in the way e.g. drinking something or similar (Thought one thing, wrote another).

Headset: Creative Fatal1ty or Razer Carcharias
Keyboard: Razer Lycosa
Mouse: Razer Naga (great for FPS and other games, not just MMO's)

Buy it and you'll never look back to non-mechanical keyboards ever. Got one myself and it has to be the best keyboard I've ever used, hands down. Feels amazing to type on and excellent for gaming as well.

Is there anywhere I can try one? Been interested in full switch keyboards for a while.

Excluding VAT, it's £114 including VAT. Worth every penny though. You have to remember that Filco is a japanese company and the UK layout is madeexclusivelyfor the keyboard company. Also, the quality is second to none (Well, perhaps with the exception of Topre keyboards + HHKB, but these start at over £200) and you can expect the keyboard to last a very, very long time.

The only "common" mechanical keyboard that I can think of that you might find in a brick and mortar shop is the Razer Blackwidow line of keyboards. However, I'd strongly recommend you avoid these if you want to actually purchase a mechanical keyboard as they are of poor quality and you're really paying for the Razer brand.

You won't find the Filco in any physical shop as the keyboard company is the only company in the UK that sells them, not to mention they are quite hard to get hold of as they are not produced in great numbers (You'll notice on the website that most of the Filco keyboards are out of stock and they tend to sell out quite fast when they do have stock)

I am very tempted. Currently watching one on ebay as the keyboard co is out of stock ATM. I would go for the one with the numberpad and probably the "brown" switches.
