Thats probably because it's not a AGM's job to moderate.
I have two taps in my dad and mums bathroom and then it's mixed in the kitchen. Though I'm really not too fussed on what I do have :P

In our kitcen we have a mixer tap. In our bathroom where I wash my hair our sink has 2 seperate taps but kinda relating to the bottle thing I have a shower heard that fixes on to the taps when I wash my hair and it mixes the water together.

I'n the kitchen it's a mixer tap then the bathrooms, utility, downstairs shower room and the gardener's sink all have separate taps

All our taps are mixed together, but untill recently we did have seperate taps in the bathroom.

Seriously though since when was this a Britain vs Rest Of World thing? I'm pretty sure it's only more common in Britain to have separate taps because we have a lot of old houses with old style plumbing whereas the US have houses that are more temporary than -rep on Oli's profile
In my sink we have 2 tap heads but 1 tap.
Everywhere else in the house has 2 taps.
We have a shower head you can put on your taps to get the right temperature.
