Cats dont demand as much attention 24/7 where dogs do. I Wanted a Dog, got one, and 4 years later i had to get rid of it ( Last weekend)
So yeah, Unless everyone will be able to occupy time to the dog, go with a cat, it don't need to be taken out to go to the toilet. Also, vet bills are usually more expensive for dogs. :)
