As for the bold = John Veneables and Robert Thompson both watched horror movies (and a fair amount) - e.g. Child's Play 3 - as a child (before they were 11 this is) and some believe their inspiration to kill James Bulger (a very young child -

** Yes there's a small chance inspiration wasn't from those films, but it still had an impact
