So what happens with merge?
Say I have 'example' on skype registered to '[email protected]', on msn have the email '[email protected]'
Would I be able to log in on either 'example' username or '[email protected]' msn account?
Will contacts be carried over (assuming that they assume most people will merge accounts over?)
Does/Will skype have the msn games implemented into it?
Anyone know? :P
I believe you can still log in via skype name and the email address. Once it has merged --> The contacts will start showing up on your Skype. It mentions if they are signed in on messenger or Skype.
Does Skype have MSN games? No not at this moment in time. I didn't realise people still played them but I believe they will most likely start adding more features from WLM to Skype once they announce it's going to retire.
so my contacts for say [email protected] will show up on my skype account 'example', or will it only do that if i ask them/allow them to merge?
Yeah some do, I blame @buttons; but it's still played enough and basically only useful feature on msn.
They will show up if you merge the two accounts together. I don't know if you can manage contacts before hand but you can delete them once it's merged if you don't want them on there or delete them before oyu merge them. I haven't actually done it so I am just guessing here.
I haven't used Messenger for ages, I remember when everybody used to use it then Facebook came along. I use Skype more so it doesn't really affect me.
Guess that's all social networks/Instant messengers gone for me. I sparingly used messenger because I don't like Skype (I'm not 100% sure why, I just don't) and I don't have any plans to be more active on Skype.
Don't blame them for making this decision though.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
Seriously gutted.
Not to fussed, but Skype isn't exactly great at the moment. They better make some serious improvements or lose a lot of users.
