oh another thing to add to that list.
DJs on air, interlink it with the DJ timetable. So 5 mins before a DJ comes on air send out a tweet/status
@xxMATTGxx;
This might not be automatic, but even just important messages such as hiring/firing/resigning of management (not GM, but all managers) are good things to tell people through social media
And things like the Group Badge Design contest, that's a good thing to have
And posting challenges etc
Events that people are going to want to know about for sure, rather than just normal staff coming/going, because you dont need to know that instantly
I don't agree about hiring and firing of staff. Because at times there could be a load of staff announcements within a short period of time and that would just spam the twitter and facebook accounts. That is one thing I don't like about some of the other main .com fansites is that they don't use social media in a way I personally think benefits the users. They hook it up to automated scripts and just leave it at that - Most of the time it's spamming peoples timelines with junk that isn't even related.
I've been dealing with the Habbox twitter/facebook for a while and I rather it be in the middle of personal and automatic. What I mean by personal is me actually typing the tweets out and then even getting involved with other Habbo's and also replying to them if they send us any messages.
Job Openings - This is now automatic. When departments post the job application threads, this will then be sent out to our social media pages automatic and in real time.
Badge Design Contest - I tweeted about that a couple of times actually.
Most major events or news that occurs at Habbox has actually been mentioned on twitter or facebook. I know that because it's me who is the one who is in control of them.
Oh, I dont see posts from the Facebook one much, but I'm always on Facebook at odd times
And I think management changes could be of big interest, such as the most recent of Ryan getting Asst. Comps Manager
And for situations where one department is shuffled around a lot in a short time, maybe release the information as a bigger post all at the end?
I meant management changes as a manual post rather than an automatic one from a sub-forum
I'm currently on my iPhone if you are seeing this message! I cannot participate in spam wars xx
Yeah like that, but not for normal staff as the amount we go through would class as spam for their feeds xD
