Notepad / Notepad+ is all you need if you're experienced - I'd highly recommend using it.

Im not that experienced, and I do sometimes crave a live display of my work (specifically when coding layouts) but it's never enough to drag me to dreamweaver now :)

I was taught to code in Dreamweaver like 10 years ago, used it once - never used again.
