E: Don't stand in the corner when you know everyone and their nan is going to skip you if they have the chance to do so

straight lines ftw
i get that all the time it's so annoying :l
i've always been a fan of rollers in the line tbh, it means that those waiting don't actually have to actively pay attention and things like this just don't happen. Furthermore it also shuts up the annoying "OWNER KICK THE BLOCKER" users who drive me mad.
I try to do straight lines when I'm hosting. It's not feasible in some events though, and helps to have a space-saving line too.
When there's a corner I just don't stand in it or people will (try to) diag me. If I do a corner, I do have seats, but people do often AFK on them anyway.
Perhaps if you read my thread...
And either way, hosts should actually host. If they're not willing to redesign a room to make a straight line, or place chairs in corners, or make a wired line disallowing blocking which would take very little wired, then why are they hosting events. I mean all of what I'm saying will help them rather than moderating the line constantly. But of course, moderating the line is an option...
The problem with straight, long lines, is that people can AFK in the MIDDLE, or the BEGINNING of the line and it ***** everything up. Like, moreso than a curvy line. Moderating a straight line is no easier than a rounded line.
Most hosts who have those lines do an extremely good job of moderating the AFK-ers, and really most Habbos know not to stand in the corner or risk being cut.
How would a wired line work? I don't get how it would stop blocking without using a hell of a lot of wired and some of us don't have endless amounts of credits to build rooms & give out prizes...
then the ultimate problem arises of "i want to brb for 1 minute but if i do ill just be kick or resetted to back of line if afk". curved lines do have a function and if someone is stupid enough to stand in corner then more fool them imo. As laura said straight lines just cause people to afk in them and cause more of a nightmare than in the first place (either kicking them and having them moan or trying to move things so people can get around)
I think this is a very fair request and i have no idea while people are making a big deal about it.
I'm going to put chairs in the rooms that have lines with corners from now on.
Thanks for attending and for the feedback. :)
