Never seen someone wanting that type of car for their first :O
How much are you looking at to buy one? And if you've looked at quotes for insurance, what prices are you getting?
Also @Pezza; by 'barely get insured on a 1.1' do you mean because the prices are all crazy?
I'm 17 and my first car is a 1.4, and my insurance is far cheaper than I expected it to be :O

Yeah lol, the prices are stupid. She looked at 1.2 and it worked out cheaper than a 1.1. I just meant that it's not guaranteed even at the low CC cars. She got off lightly to be fair.
A friend of hers got quoted almost £3,000 for a bloody corsa.
It does go down though eventually. I'm 25 this month and it is supposed to drop a ton so I'm looking forward to that. But then it did drop quite nicely after I was 21. I drive a 1.8 Honda Civic and I pay 580 for the year.
Although it pales in comparison considering my dad drives a 3 litre Mercedes and it costs him 150 for the year lol. But then he's been driving over 20 years.

Mods have never really interested me to be honest so I've never had to worry about that, but it's bound to be extortionate to insure, especially now. Insurance kills the 17-21 age bracket massively.
